I’m Sarah – celebrant, maker, tea-pourer, cake maker and lifelong lover of all things handmade.

Creativity runs through everything I do. I’ve always had my hands in something – from crafting with fabric and paper to running a cake business, hosting community cookery nights, and even running a festival tea tent. One of my favourite things to do is to gather people together with good food, warm words, and a little bit of creative magic.

I live in Matlock, in the beautiful Peak District with Don, my partner in life and craft, our amazing daughter Una, and two very spoilt pets – Teddy the dog and Freya the cat. Together, we’ve built Made in Matlock as a space where ceremony, creativity, and connection come together.

With a background in teaching and hospitality, I bring a calm, organised approach to everything I do – whether I’m writing a bespoke ceremony, designing a keepsake, or hosting a craft session in the community. I believe in doing things thoughtfully and making space for meaning – in life, in grief, in joy, and all the moments in between.
